Social media for wineries

Winery social media marketing: everyone posts the sunset over the vines. Bottles are sold by those who tell the rest of the story.

We build winery social media with stated goals: booked visits, bottles sold, club members. A distinctive story, content shot at the winery, and a real connection with your ecommerce and wine tourism.

L&C

We were born inside Longino & Cardenal, which for over thirty years has been sourcing and delivering exceptional products to chefs and restaurants across Italy. We know food & wine from the producer's side, long before the marketing side.

From post to booked visit. If the path breaks, the content did little.

If two of these sound familiar, the problem isn't your wine. It's the way it's being told.

These are the five signs we see most often when we open up a winery's social profiles. None is serious on its own. Together, they leave visits, bottles and club memberships unsold.

Content

You post the vines at dawn, the vines at sunset and staged bottle shots.

They're the same images every other winery posts. People scrolling don't remember your name, they remember a postcard.

Ecommerce

Your profile tells the story of the wine, but buying it is an obstacle course.

Desire is born in the feed and dies in the bio. Every piece of content with no destination is work given away to the platform.

Wine tourism

You offer visits and tastings, but they're invisible on social media.

The winery experience is your highest-margin product and the one that creates loyal customers. Not telling its story leaves it unsold.

Community

Your followers have been more or less the same for two years.

Without content that gets you discovered by people who don't know you yet, your profile only talks to those who have already bought.

Identity

Your posts could belong to any other winery.

Wine sells through a recognizable story: land, people, vintage, choices. Without it, price is all that's left to decide.

Self-assessment

Seven questions. One minute. How hard your winery's social media is working, right now.

Answer honestly: nobody sees it but you. If you like, send us your result and your audit starts right here.

Is there a written editorial plan that ties together wine, visits and sales?

A file, not ideas scattered between WhatsApp and the cellar.

Can people get from your profile to buying a bottle in two steps?

Bio, link, product page: try it yourself on your phone.

Can winery visits be booked online, and does your social media say so?

Not just email or phone during office hours.

Does your content follow the farming year and your release calendar?

Harvest, bottling, new vintages, trade fairs.

Can people recognize your posts without reading the profile name?

Look at your last nine images all together.

Is your community growing with new people, not just those who already know you?

New follower data is in your profile's insights.

Do you check every month which content drove orders, visits or sign-ups?

Link clicks, orders, bookings, club sign-ups.

Winery marketing on social media: what we build

Content is the centerpiece, not the only piece. We design it together with the farming year and the path that takes a person from the feed to the bottle, the visit and the club.

They recognize you

A story that's yours alone

  • Land, people, vintages and choices, not postcards
  • A visual identity people recognize without reading your name
  • Themes and tone set for the year, not for a single post

They discover you

An editorial plan built on the winery's year

  • Harvest, bottling, new vintages, trade fairs
  • Photo and video shot in the cellar and among the vines
  • Content designed for people who don't know you yet

They buy

From feed to bottle and visit

  • A direct link to your ecommerce and product pages
  • Online booking for visits and tastings
  • Wine club and sign-ups promoted, not hidden

They stay

Community and measurement

  • Content for those who have already bought and already visited
  • Link clicks, orders, bookings, sign-ups
  • Next month's plan is written from the data

Every month we look at the same numbers: reach, new followers, clicks to the shop and to visits, orders and bookings. If a format isn't delivering, we change that format, not the whole plan.

How we work

Four steps, always in the same order

1 · First two weeks

30-day social audit

We review your last thirty days of content, your profile numbers, the path to shop and visits, and what your competing wineries are doing.

2 · One call

Plan

We decide story, themes, formats and frequency, with the calendar of the farming year and your releases. And who does what.

3 · Every month

Production

Photo and video shoots in the cellar and among the vines, content written and edited, publishing on the calendar.

4 · Every month

Measurement

Reach, new followers, clicks to shop and visits, orders and bookings. A report you can read in five minutes.

Where to start

We always begin with an audit of your last thirty days on social media. Then we choose the engagement format that fits your winery, not the biggest package.

Step 1

30-day social audit

  • Review of your last thirty days of content and numbers
  • Comparison with your competing wineries
  • Check of the path to ecommerce, visits and club
  • The three priorities with their expected impact

Step 2 · The typical project

Story, editorial plan and production

  • Identity and themes that make you recognizable
  • A calendar tied to the farming year and your releases
  • Photo and video shoots at the winery
  • Connecting profiles, ecommerce and visit booking
  • Training for your team

Step 3

Ongoing management

  • Production and publishing every month
  • Comments and messages handled with a method
  • Campaigns for shop, visits and wine club when they make sense
  • Monthly report

Wine marketing agency FAQ: the questions every producer asks us

Short answers. For the long ones, there's the audit.

Do you manage multiple accounts for the same owner?

Yes, and it's common: different wineries and hospitality properties have different audiences and shouldn't be presented the same way. For Masciarelli Tenute Agricole we manage three accounts, the Masciarelli Winery and Vini Valori wineries and the Castello di Semivicoli resort, with a consistent story but distinct formats.

Does social media really help sell bottles?

It helps people discover you, remember you and want your wine. The sale itself closes on your ecommerce, at the winery or through a distributor. That's why our first job is connecting your profiles to the shop and to visit booking: without that step, content stays beautiful and useless.

We're a small team with little time. What do you need from us?

Access to your profiles, one day for the photo and video shoot, and someone who can answer questions about vintages and winemaking. We handle the rest. The story, though, has to come from you: authentic things can't be invented from the outside.

Can wine tourism be promoted off season too?

Yes, and it pays off: visits are booked weeks in advance. The content calendar gets ahead of the season instead of chasing it, and in the quiet months we focus on the cellar, the people, the harvest and upcoming vintages.

Do we need advertising as well?

Organic profiles build recognition; campaigns reach people who don't know you yet and push the shop, visits and club at the right moments. We don't start with advertising: the story and the purchase path come first.

Who writes the copy about the wine?

We write it and you always approve it. We never improvise on vintages, grape varieties or winemaking: the information comes from the people who make the wine, and we make it engaging for the people who drink it.
