Shopify Partner · food, wine and hospitality

A Shopify partner agency for food and wine. Shopify is the right platform, almost always.

We are a Shopify Partner and we build stores for wineries, artisan producers, restaurants and gourmet brands. But before we sell you one, we look at your numbers: if Shopify isn't the right choice for your catalog, we'll tell you, because we know the other side too.

L&C

We were born inside Longino & Cardenal, which was selling food online long before it was fashionable. We run the group's ecommerce every day: we made our platform decisions on our own business before we ever made them on yours.

Certified partnership

We are a Shopify Partner

We build and manage Shopify stores as a certified partner: access to agency tools, development environments, priority support and updates on new features before they reach everyone else. This website runs on Shopify too, so we use what we recommend to you ourselves.

  • Custom themes, not off-the-shelf templates
  • Migrations without losing rankings
  • B2B, multi-store and multi-currency
  • Your team stays independent

Five reasons a food ecommerce store underperforms

It's almost never the platform. It's that nobody set it up with food selling in mind.

Catalog

The catalog is lifted straight from the management system: codes, net weights, no explanation.

Customers don't understand what they're buying, so they pick the product they already know.

Shipping

Shipping costs half the cart value, and customers only find out at checkout.

It's the leading cause of cart abandonment in food ecommerce, ahead of price.

Fresh food

You manage fresh products by hand, with phone calls and Excel sheets.

Every mistake means wasted stock, and every order costs time that isn't built into the price.

B2B

Trade customers order via WhatsApp because the website has no dedicated price lists.

The channel that drives your margin is the only one left without proper tools.

Platform

Every change goes through an agency, costs money and takes two weeks.

You stop updating the website, and a static catalog stops selling.

Why Shopify

What Shopify really solves for food and beverage brands

Not a feature list: the four things that, in food, make the difference between a store that sells and one that just sits there.

Speed

Live in weeks, not months

Infrastructure, security, payments and updates are handled by Shopify. Your budget goes into catalog and content, not server maintenance.

Independence

You update it yourselves, without calling us

Products, prices, availability, pages and promotions can be changed in two minutes. We train your team so the website stays alive even when we're not around.

Ecosystem

Apps built for food logistics

Refrigerated shipping, delivery slots, subscriptions, gift cards, wine clubs, e-invoicing: almost everything already exists and integrates.

B2B

One store for B2C and B2B

Dedicated price lists, deferred payments and quick ordering for restaurants, all within the same catalog, with no need to maintain two separate websites.

Honesty

When Shopify isn't the right choice

We tell you up front, not once the project is underway. These are the three cases where we recommend a different route, even when the opposite would be easier for us.

Catalog

Huge, highly structured catalogs

Tens of thousands of SKUs with deep hierarchies and complex pricing rules by customer and market: here a platform like Adobe Commerce holds up better. We use it every day, so we know what we're talking about.

Processes

Highly specific business logic

If the way you sell is unlike anyone else's, on Shopify you end up fighting the platform with apps and patches. Better to know before you sign.

Timing

When the website isn't the problem

Sometimes the store works fine and the issue is traffic, margin or product range. Rebuilding the platform would mean spending well to fix the wrong thing.

What we do on Shopify for food and beverage brands

Four stages, depending on where you are. You don't need all of them, and you don't need them in the same quarter.

Migrate

From your old platform

  • URL mapping and redirects so you keep your rankings
  • Migration of catalog, customers and order history
  • Categories and filters rebuilt, not copied and pasted

Build

Custom theme and catalog

  • A theme built around you, not an off-the-shelf template
  • Product pages that explain why it costs what it costs
  • Checkout, shipping and fresh-food delivery slots

Grow

Traffic and conversion

  • Technical SEO and content inside the store
  • Google Shopping and a well-maintained product feed
  • Email, automation and cart recovery

Manage

Maintenance and development

  • Updates, apps and integrations with management and logistics systems
  • Training for your team, always included
  • A monthly report on orders, conversion and average order value

Every stage has a number that measures it: rankings retained after migration, load time, conversion rate, repeat orders. If a stage isn't delivering, that's where we step in.

A Shopify case study, with honest context

We'd rather show you a real project and tell you clearly what runs on something else, instead of passing off our whole portfolio as Shopify.

The other side

Adobe Commerce within the group

The B2C ecommerce store and the B2B portal of Longino & Cardenal run on Adobe Commerce, with large catalogs and customer-specific price lists. We manage them every day: that's how we know when Shopify is enough and when it isn't.

Questions brands ask us about Shopify before deciding

Short answers. For the long ones, there's the check.

What does being a Shopify Partner actually mean?

It means we work with tools reserved for agencies: development environments separate from the live store, management of client stores from a single dashboard, a dedicated support channel and early access to new platform features. For you, that translates into two practical things: changes are tested before they go live, and when something breaks, you're not left opening a ticket on your own.

How much does a Shopify ecommerce store cost?

It depends on three variables: how many SKUs your catalog has, how much material you already have ready in terms of photos, copy and product pages, and whether you need B2B or multiple languages. The free check is designed precisely to give you an exact figure before you commit. On top of the project there's the Shopify subscription, which you pay directly.

Will I lose my rankings if I migrate?

Not if the migration is done properly. The work lies in mapping old URLs to new ones and setting up permanent redirects, before launch, not after. Some settling in the first few weeks is normal; then rankings return to previous levels and usually climb, because the new structure is cleaner.

Can I sell fresh or perishable products?

Yes, and it's one of the areas where we add the most value. Delivery slots, blocked shipping days, refrigerated packaging, weekend risk warnings: these need to be set up once and set up properly, otherwise every order turns into a phone call.

What about trade customers, restaurants and retailers?

They're managed in the same store with reserved price lists, tiered pricing, quick ordering and deferred payment. You avoid maintaining two separate websites and, above all, you stop B2B orders from running through WhatsApp.

What happens if I switch agencies tomorrow?

The store is in your name and stays yours, along with everything in it. The theme is standard, documented code, not a black box only we can open. It's a deliberate choice: we'd rather you stay because it's worth your while.
