Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026. This notice is provided pursuant to Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Italian Privacy Code), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) on June 10, 2021.
This page explains which cookies and tracking tools the website www.longinodigitalfactory.it uses, what they are for, how long they last and how you can manage them. For all other aspects of the processing of personal data, please refer to the privacy policy.
1. Who processes the data
The data controller is Longino Digital Factory S.r.l., Via Ambrogio Moroni 8, 20005 Pogliano Milanese (MI), Italy, VAT no. 13514890964. For any request: info@longinodigitalfactory.it.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on the browsing device so they can read them again on subsequent visits. Alongside cookies there are tools that work in a similar way, such as tracking pixels, web beacons and the browser's local storage (local storage and session storage): for simplicity, on this page we call them all cookies, but the same rules apply to them.
Cookies are distinguished by who sets them, first-party if they are set by this website and third-party if they are set by an external provider, and by purpose, as explained below.
3. The categories we use
3.1 Technical and necessary cookies
These make the website work: maintaining the session, remembering the contents of the cart, managing access to the customer area and ensuring security. Without these cookies the website does not work properly, so they do not require your consent pursuant to Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code. They are set by the Shopify platform, which hosts the website.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _shopify_y, _shopify_s | Identify the visitor and the session in pseudonymous form, for the operation of the website and the platform's internal statistics | up to 1 year |
| cart, cart_ts, cart_ver, cart_sig, cart_currency | Remember the contents and status of the cart | up to 14 days |
| _secure_session_id, secure_customer_sig | Security of the session and of access to the customer account | session, up to 1 year for login |
| _tracking_consent | Stores the choices made regarding tracking preferences | 1 year |
| keep_alive, localization | Maintain the session and the store localization | from session to 1 year |
| Self-assessment local storage | Keeps your answers to the self-assessment questionnaire in your browser, so you do not have to repeat them and the form can be prefilled. The data stays on your device | until the browser is closed |
3.2 Analytics cookies
These tell us how many people visit the website, where they come from and which pages they read, so we can understand what works and what does not. They are set by Google (Google Analytics 4, managed through Google Tag Manager) and are activated only after your consent, except when configured with an anonymized IP address, without cross-referencing with other processing and without transmission to third parties, in which case the law treats them as technical cookies.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Ireland Ltd | Distinguishes visitors in pseudonymous form | 2 years |
| _ga_<property ID> | Google Ireland Ltd | Maintains session state in Google Analytics 4 | 2 years |
| _gid | Google Ireland Ltd | Distinguishes visitors over the course of a day | 24 hours |
Provider's privacy notice: policies.google.com/privacy.
3.3 Marketing and profiling cookies
These are used to measure advertising campaigns, understand which ads bring inquiries and orders, and show you relevant content on the providers' platforms. They are third-party cookies and are activated only after your consent.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Google Ireland Ltd | Attributes conversions to Google Ads campaigns | 90 days |
| _fbp | Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd | Measures campaigns on Facebook and Instagram and builds advertising audiences | 90 days |
Providers' privacy notices: Google, Meta.
The detailed and always up-to-date list of the cookies actually set, with their providers and durations, is the one shown in the website's cookie preferences panel: if a provider is added or removed, the panel reflects it before this page does.
4. Legal bases
Technical cookies are set pursuant to Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, which does not require consent for this category. Non-anonymized analytics cookies and marketing cookies are set exclusively on the basis of consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, given through the preferences panel.
5. How to give, refuse or withdraw consent
On your first visit, the website shows a panel that lets you accept all cookies, reject them all or choose category by category. Closing the banner without making a choice does not amount to consent: in that case, only technical cookies are set.
You can change your mind at any time by reopening the preferences panel from the link at the bottom of the page. Withdrawal applies to the future and does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before its withdrawal.
Alternatively, you can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings, usually in the privacy and security section. Please note that blocking all cookies, including technical ones, may prevent the website from working properly, for example the cart and account login.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
Some third-party cookie providers, in particular Google and Meta, may also process data in the United States. The transfer takes place on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission, the provider's participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or the Standard Contractual Clauses, supplemented where necessary by additional measures.
7. Your rights
You may at any time exercise the rights provided for by Articles 15 to 22 GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and withdrawal of consent, by writing to info@longinodigitalfactory.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it). Details on purposes, retention, data processors and recipients are in the privacy policy.
8. Changes to this cookie policy
This notice may be updated when the tools installed on the website or the applicable law change. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date of the last update indicated.
